Great Japanese grill bar. Food was super fresh and full of flavour, especially the grilled dishes. Everything tasted clean and well balanced. Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made us feel welcome. Nice atmosphere too. Would definitely come back 👍
It was my first time at Hono and the first thing i noticed is how welcoming the staff were. Once ordered, the food arrived promptly & looked great. Started with the curry Wagyu sticks - first bite was a little tough but after that - very tender and full of flavour. From there, each dish was on point and it was hard to pick a favourite by the end because they were all so delicious. Finished off with a pistachio tiramisu and for someone who eats tiramisu a lot - easily one of the creamiest and texture pleasant I've enjoyed. Ambiance on the deck was lovely and a nice breeze to keep the mood right. Thank you guys and will be back again
Absolutely amazing service, food & atmosphere. Food was well seasoned, both skewer & tataki was tender - few misses on having too much marinate on the skewer & lotus chips being slightly overcooked; other than that the whole experience was amazing that the -ve’s did not matter. Paying just over $50, which I think is reasonable considering location, quality, flavour & service. Defo recommend!
Hono Grill is a 5 star experience. A very pleasant casual dining place/atmosphere that is enhanced with friendly staff plus a great chef. These ingredients make for an enjoyable evening.
Just went here tonight for dinner. The food is absolutely out of this world it so so good. We got the skewers set and were blown away at how good it was. The staff are lovely and the owner is so friendly and nice, can't wait to go back and try their 'feed me' menu.
A little bit salty in some plates. But platter/Sweet potato chips/Drink as per recommendation were perfect! As i am resident of this suburb, i would like to come sometimes! Cheers.
Great selection of Japanese dishes. Smaller plates great for sharing and diverse flavours. Something to suit everyone. Diverse drink's selection also.
Used to be a regular at the old Mongrels and the place seemed to lose its way. What a pleasant surprise to be back in Milton and drop into see and experience a new gem in place. Well done. Great food, well priced and as always a great place to while away an afternoon. Also nice to see a dog water bowl in the corner - Nelson would approve. Eat as much or as little as you want, it is all superb. The Gyoza were the best I have had
Chicken skewers are my favourite and I’m so glad I can both thigh and tenderloin skewers here. It seems so hard to find good skewers. Cooked really well. Will definitely be back for more. Thank you!
